Members of the Temple Beth Shalom Shofar Corps will perform a live shofar blowing each Sunday during the month of Elul. Watch (or more appropriately…listen) from the safety and comfort of your cars in the JCC parking lot facing the Temple Beth Shalom building or a very-physically-distanced spot on the sidewalk. The Shofar blower will be on risers in the dropoff circle at the far end of the sidewalk leading to the main temple doors. Curbside prayer book distribution will be going on at the same time for temple members who have registered to borrow books. Wear your masks, please. T’kiyah!

This year, Temple Beth Shalom is offering at no charge a unique way to learn and to connect in the spirit of Elul and to prepare ourselves for the High Holy Days. Through Project Zug, we will dive into the High Holy Days prayers in small learning groups formed from Temple Beth Shalom members in a very accessible way. In our new world, we are hoping that these "virtual" meetings provide another quality opportunity to meet our very human need of being together. For More information and sign up link, visit: https://www.bethshalomaustin.org/unlocking-the-mahzor Opening Lecture Thursday August 20th Closing Lecture September 16. Times and dates of learning group meetings will be determined as people enroll.
