Meet the Temple Beth Shalom Brotherhood
We are a group of guys from our congregation—your friends and peers—who get together to build personal, professional, and spiritual relationships with each other and the temple.
We talk about issues important to men: being married, being single, children, health, finance, cooking, cars, sports, and generally provide a place for venting, inquiry, seriousness, and silliness. Brotherhood is self-powered, not financed by the temple, and is a unique group of friends. See below for a glimpse at “What We Do.”
Ask us to add you to the email list to get notices about our events.

What We Do!
Our 2021-2022 Report
We serve the temple and the greater community. We gather to eat, drink, and be merry. We build friendships and support each other. We grow beyond events into greater engagement with fellow members. Peek at the sampling of what we did over the past year:
• Meet second Thursdays of the month at the temple. See email for room and instructions. This gathering is casual, purposeful, and open to all Temple members. Ample snacks and beverages!
• Build the Temple sukkah (and ate bagels)
• Assist setup/takedown for High Holiday services and other temple events.
• Gather for monthly breakfasts/lunches—recently outside at Culinary Dropout and Yard House.
• Organize social outings (sports events, dinners, etc.) and guest speakers
• Perform community mitzvah projects
• Hosted Shabbat picnic at Laguna Gloria with Sisterhood (About 30 of us perused the grounds.)
• Welcomed y’all back into the building with our signature Brotherhood cocktail bar for Chanukah
• Happy Hour Fundraiser for Ukraine at District Kitchen
• Served wine, beer, and cocktails from Haman’s Watering Hole on the temple lawn on Purim
• Fed about 150 people at our Shabbat Grill Out in April
• Reprised the upgraded grill for the annual End-of-School-Year Picnic for close to 300 people
