Note there are two sessions that will present the same information, Jan. 16 and Jan. 28. We are offering the class twice to ensure the maximum number of congregants have the opportunity to learn. These sessions will not be recorded. More info at https://www.bethshalomaustin.org/learning/adults#morgie Join us to learn from Sharon "Morgie" Morgenstern, educator and licensed Israel tour guide to learn facts about the creation of the modern State of Israel. We are living in a time where phenomenal volumes of misinformation is spreading. Morgie will give a geography and political lesson that includes the relationships between Jews, Israeli Arabs, Palestinians, and other minority communities, provide us with an update of the current moment, and answer as many questions as possible in our time together. This is a chance for congregants ages 13 and up to learn with a phenomenal teacher.

Let's take a hike in the Hill Country! The Temple Beth Shalom Brotherhood is leading a day hike at Enchanted Rock. After hiking to the top of the dome and maybe some of the surrounding trails, we'll head to Hondo's on Main in Fredericksburg for an early dinner before heading back to Austin.
