A Celebration and Fundraiser to Honor and Say Goodbye to Kelly Finkel

We are excited to come together in community to honor Kelly Finkel's 14 years of service to Temple Beth Shalom and to raise funds for the temple. Kelly's contributions have been numerous, generous, caring, and consistent throughout the years. This is our moment, as a community, to show Kelly how much we appreciate all that she has done for us.

Although we intend to raise funds for the temple, we will NOT be selling tickets for this celebration-- we want as many of you to attend as possible. However, you must RSVP for planning and programming purposes.

So, if we are NOT selling tickets, how do we plan to fundraise? Easy! We have several ways you can show your appreciation for Kelly, just keep on reading.

About the Celebration!

The celebration begins at 3:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Enjoy a fun, lively, and interactive musical tribute to Kelly led by Rabbi Cantor Robbi Sherwin along with Cantor Gostein and our choirs, interspersed with meaningful tributes and the presentation of our congregational gift to Kelly. After the song session and tributes, the celebration continues with the opportunity for you to give your well wishes to Kelly, schmooze with others, and enjoy some yummy small bites.

Sponsor the Torah cover gift the temple will present to Kelly
- Kelly's love of Torah is constantly on display, so we think it is fitting that we honor Kelly with the purchase of three, much-needed, new Torah covers for our temple's beloved Torahs. On the inside of each Torah cover, there will be an embroidered dedication to honor Kelly.
Sponsor the celebration at one of the sponsorship levels. Sponsorships are amounts greater than $180.00
- In addition to preparing and supporting b'nai mitzvah students and families, Kelly's has impacted so many other areas of our temple community. Her demonstrated commitment to tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedakah (giving), lifelong education, ritual observances, and spirituality has been consistent and remarkable. Consider being a sponsor and support the temple in continuing to provide you meaningful and engaging opportunities.
