Temple Beth Shalom Sisterhood will host this screening of the "Under G-d," a 22-minute award-winning documentary, followed by a discussion. "Under G-d" premiered this year at the Sundance Film Festival and was also showcased in the PBS Short Film Festival. It is about the national Jewish response to the Dobbs decision woven through the lived experiences of impacted Jewish women and the various lawsuits currently being launched by rabbis, Jewish organizations and others, including Americans United, to challenge the overturning of Roe v. Wade, state by state. 

The film illustrates how, through the lens of maintaining the separation between church and state, these efforts are predicated on ultimately protecting religious freedom – and democracy – for all.
