Please join us for our next event on May 4th at 7pm - Gluten-Free Jewish Classics. Vanessa Weisbrod is the Director of the Boston Children’s Hospital Celiac Disease Program where she works to build a robust community engagement and education program. Vanessa has produced a series of cooking and nutrition videos and has authored four gluten-free cookbooks. Vanessa will discuss ways in which Jewish communities can be inclusive of members who have celiac disease, food allergies, or other chronic medical conditions that require a food-based treatment.  She will offer tips and tricks on how to make your favorite Jewish foods gluten-free.  She will then demo how to make gluten-free chocolate babka (ingredient and materials list emailed if you want to bake along!)

This Cooking in Community series is a collaboration between 3 of the synagogues in Austin - Congregation Agudas Achim, Congregation Beth Israel, and Temple Beth Shalom. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Boston Children's Hospital Celiac Disease Program.
