Artist in Residence Dan Nichols

A classically trained singer, Dan Nichols received his Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance at the University of North Carolina. In 1995, realizing the potential of music to make powerful connections with Jewish youth, Dan established the Jewish rock band Eighteen. Since that time, Dan and Eighteen have released 13 albums. The Celebration to Honor Rabbi and Lori Freedman Continues!

We Welcome Dan Nichols, Our Artist in Residence

On the weekend of December 16-18, we welcome our Artist in Residence, the ever amazing and talented musician Dan Nichols. Dan is a product of the URJ camping system and has toured Jewish summer camps across North America for the last 15 years, so it is a perfect fit to welcome Dan to Temple Beth Shalom as a way to honor and support Rabbi and Lori’s passion for sending kids to Jewish camp.

There are three opportunities to be a part of the weekend, and all are free; however, as a tribute to Rabbi and Lori, we encourage you to make a donation of your choosing to our Maxine Goldman Memorial Fund which provides financial support to those who apply for camp scholarships. Just go to our GIVE webpage and select “Maxine Goldman Memorial Fund” in the dropdown menu when asked to which fund you’d like to donate.
