Lifelong Learning: Recipes and Reminiscing

Join us for our online Lifelong Learning class...

Recipes and Reminiscing: A Community Food and Cooking Series

Next Class is Jan. 9 for Tu B'Shevat! Register here.

In this class series, we aim to be informative, to share, and to have fun while creating a forum for Jewish recipes and food-stories that matter to our congregants.

We will offer Zoom get-togethers and classes (sometimes with cooking demonstrations), as well as a monthly article.

As our congregation focuses on the theme "Together" for our High Holy Days this year, we will build on that theme moving through the year with a focus on Jewish food, family, community, and sharing.

For each festival in the Jewish calendar year, we will post a brief introduction to the traditional foods of that festival, focusing on one traditional food--for example, honey cake for the New Year. We will post a brief historical account of the significance of that food and a couple of recipes from different sources.

We invite you to submit pertinent recipes and memories on the selected food that are dear to you. You'll find these on our website at a later date--stay tuned!

Also, check out our Recipes page--your featured recipes will be posted as submitted!
