Join us at Erev Shabbat services this week, when Rabbi Amy Cohen, joined by Dr. Alyssa Gilden and Amanda Mills, LCSW, will be speaking about the intersection of the Jewish law, Pikuach Nefesh, saving a life, and our communal responsibility to bring awareness to public health initiatives that destigmatize and educate our communities about the mental health crisis facing our country. As we begin September, Suicide Prevention Month, we each have a role to play in bringing awareness to this stigmatized topic and ensuring we all have the resources we need to respond if a friend of loved one is experiencing a mental health crisis of any kind. See other JFS events for Suicide Prevention Month.
