Book of Remembrance and Yahrzeit Plaques

During the High Holy Days we observe Yizkor, a ceremony when we publicly honor the deceased and come together as a community. Traditionally, individuals have honored their loved ones by giving tzedakah in their memory. This act of tzedakah both honors the deceased and allows us to remember the ways in which their lives inform, inspire, and open our hearts today. Submitting your loved ones' names for our Book of Remembrance and/or Yahrzeit Wall will provide you with a traditional and meaningful way to memorialize your family and friends and take part in this mitzvah. Volunteer Opportunities

Greeters

Greeters provide a welcoming face to congregants and guests as they worship. Sign up to be a greeter.

Setup and Cleanup

With services in the JCC Gym, most of our bimah and supplies come from the temple…which means A LOT of schlepping! Help ensure that everything we need is in it’s place, by helping with tasks such as stacking chairs and setting out prayer books. Each shift is over with enough time to go home and change before services. Sign up for your schlepping shift.

Break Fast

Join us in a lively processional from the Shalom Austin gym over to Temple Beth Shalom for nosh and community. Sign up for your Break Fast food item or donation.
