What do you get when you combine Shabbat and Mindfulness? Well, Shabbatfulness, of course! Shabbatfulness is a musical, meaningful, and movement-filled young-family celebration. Shabbatfulness takes place one Saturday a month and is geared toward children ages 2 years old through 3rd grade and their parents and siblings.
Shabbatfulness is an invitation for families to welcome a deeper connection to Shabbat by infusing mindful practices into the celebration. It is a unique opportunity to BE with your family on a special day. You can come as you are to pray, play, connect, and create. Each month we choose a theme and explore it with all of our senses. Activities are fun and engaging for all. We sing songs, read books, create art, practice breathing, move our bodies, connect to ourselves and each other, and so much more. You will leave full of Shabbat light!
Shabbatfulness was created and is facilitated by Heather Feinberg. Heather is an inspirational leader whose passion for insight and inner connection inspires her twenty-plus years of work with children, teens, and families. She has served both spiritual and secular communities as a formal and informal educator, professional counselor, and most recently as the founder of Mindful Kids, where she uses her gifts as a writer, musician, and thought leader to create opportunities for individuals to access their innate wisdom and foster freedom and joy from the inside out.
Heather's calling has always been in helping children (and the child inside us all) discover their voices, access their power, and most importantly connect to their knowing, so that they can experience the unique expression of who and what they are.
Shabbatfulness is open to ALL families, including those who are not members of Temple Beth Shalom. Please email Heather Feinberg at firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend. Drop-ins welcome!
