Break Fast Information

Dear Friends,

As you have hopefully heard by now, due to unforeseen circumstances, our Yom Kippur services and Break the Fast will be held in the gym of the JCAA campus and not at St. Louis Church as previously scheduled. For those of you who have generously offered to bring food items for Break the Fast, please bring your contribution to the kitchen, which is located just off of the Community Hall, either before Kol Nidre Services on Friday night or during the day on Saturday. We anticipate that Break the Fast will start around 6:30pm. If you have not done so, please let us know if you can contribute either food (lox, egg/tuna salads, veggie/fruit plate, or dessert), time to set-up or clean-up, or monetary donation.

If your item requires refrigeration, please leave it in the fridge or in a cooler that is marked Temple Beth Shalom. Because we are sharing kitchen space with other congregations, it would be especially helpful if you would label your item with both the letters "TBS" and also the contents of your contribution. Please remember that everything should be meat-free and also nut-free. If your serving dish is not disposable, please label your dish with your name so that we can get it back to you. We have plenty of serving utensils and as these tend to get lost, please do not leave your utensils. We would hate to lose Grandma Ethel's heirloom silver serving pieces or something else that is special to you!

Thanks again for your contributions both to our tradition of Breaking the Fast together as a temple community and also for helping maintain the warm, welcoming, inclusive nature of our congregation.

L'Shana Tova,

Shannon Sherwood
