Welcome to Temple Beth Shalom

Temple Beth Shalom is a growing Reform Jewish congregation of over 200 "membership units" (families or individuals) from all walks of life in Austin, Texas.

Led by Rabbi Alan Freedman, our congregation includes single adults, young families, and senior adults with diverse backgrounds.

Our congregation prides itself on its well-deserved reputation for being a warm, welcoming and inclusive community. We learn together, pray together and grow together. We celebrate one another's simchot and comfort one another in times of need. Our congregational life is a rich one. We offer educational opportunities for learners of all ages, from the tiniest tots to adults. We address community needs through committees such as Social Action and Outreach. Ours is also a great community of friends. Our congregants get together for book clubs, theatre outings and more.

On June 15, 2003, Temple Beth Shalom dedicated its first Torah.

Temple Beth Shalom is a proud member the Union for Reform Judiaism and a proud partner of the Jewish Community Association of Austin.
