Shalomites and Tot Shabbat

Here's a Havurah just for families with children ages 5 and under!

Shalomites is a havurah of our families with children ages 5 and under. We organize Judaic programming that focuses on the unique needs and schedules of our families with young children, such as:

  • a 30-minute Tot Shabbat the first Friday of each month and one Saturday each month
  • holiday activities involving arts and crafts, children's music and condensed & child-lingo liturgy (ie: Chanukah Party, Family Seder)
  • a pre-religious school educational program for children ages 2-5 (Torah Tots)
  • social events such as Havdallahs, potluck dinners and play groups so our young Jewish families can get to know one another (see the calendar for quarterly events)
  • and much more!

Tot Shabbat

Tot Shabbat Meets twice a month.   Friday night Tot Shabbats will be held on the first Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m., and Saturday Tot Shabbats meet at 10:00 a.m.  See the monthly calendar for the Saturday schedule. - Join Cantorial Soloist Abby Gostein and Rabbi Freedman for fun and learning while your little ones make music and yummy chicken soup Shalomites-style!

Torah Tots

Torah Tots is a program designed to nurture Jewish identity among our youngest members. Our toddlers and preschoolers are introduced to the rich heritage of Judaism through song, story-telling, arts & crafts and time with Rabbi Freedman. The program takes place once a month during the religious school year.
