Ritual Committee

Working closely with Rabbi Freedman, the Ritual Committee plans all of Temple Beth Shalom's ritual experiences. Our mission is to provide our fellow congregants with a variety rewarding and enriching worship experiences. The Committee coordinates the congregation's weekly Shabbat evening services as well as monthly Shabbat morning Torah Study services. In addition, the Ritual Committee provides information about ritual opportunities to our congregation such as ideas for festival observance and other traditional Jewish practices.  We also try to be innovative in our ritual practices so as to provide each member with an avenue to God.

The Committee also coordinates special observances and congregational celebrations, including: High Holy Days, all other festivals and holidays, B'nai Mitzvah and other public life cycle events. The Committee also functions as an avenue for feedback and fresh ideas to our professional staff concerning ritual practices for our temple.

The Committee works to ensure that all of Temple Beth Shalom's ritual activities encompass the warm and friendly atmosphere that Temple Beth Shalom has become known for.

Please contact Tom Tucker if you are interested in serving on this committee.
